SURGERY OF THE PROMINENT EARS
Among ear aesthetic surgeries, protruding ear surgeries and ear reduction surgeries are the most common. Another ear aesthetic is the tearing of the earring holes. The fact that the ear is bent more forward is called a protruding ear (sail ear). It occurs as a result of incomplete development of the ear folds and is genetic. It is recommended by aesthetic surgeons to perform a protruding ear surgery from the age of 5-6, when the development of the ear is complete. The duration of the operation is one hour on average. After the operation, a pressure bandage is applied and wrapped. After the operation, painkillers are administered under medical supervision to relieve the pain. It is recommended by plastic surgeons to use tennis bands or hair bands that are neither tight nor loose for 2-3 weeks after opening the bandages.
