Brachioplasty (Arm lifting)

Arm lifting surgeries are applied by plastic surgeons in order to minimise the apperance of fatty mass and saggy skins in the rear and inner parts of the arm’s upper side. Arm lifting surgeries are generally done under general anaesthesia or sometimes local anaesthesia so as to minimise the saggy apperance of arm. The average surgery time is 1-3 hours. The patients having severe fatty and saggy apperance may be hospitalized for one day. Rubber pipe drainage could be applied in this region in order to disable the bleeding and fluid. This drainage is exctracted at the latest 2-3 days later. After 3 days, an elastic bandage will be applied in the form of arm sock which shapes the arm. Mainly, there is no suture to be taken.
